On the Germicidal Effect of Oral Liquid Medicine by Thermal Processing

Abstract
An experimental study was carried out to get optimal conditions of oral liquid medicine by thermal processing.
We made two kinds of samples which contained Thiamine¡¤HNO©ýand Niacinamide, added Bacillus subtils quantitiviely, and sterilized by autoclave; the variable conditions were time(min.) and temperature(¢µ).
The effectes of heating temperature and period on the medicine were as follows:
1. When thermal processing is applied on the oral liquid medicine, optimal condition which can¢¥t degrade drug effect but destroy contaminated microrganism is 250¢µ in highest heating temperature and 3 minutes in sterility time.
2. When the medicine containes natural product¢¥s extract, optimal condition is 250¢µ in temperature and 5 minutes in time.
3. When thermal processing is being held at 250¢µ in temperature and 3 minutes in time, appropriate total sterility time is 30-40 minutes. On this conditions, suitable come-up time is 60%-80% of total sterility time.
